Science
Science at Wells Primary School encourages the pupils to be curious and excited to learn about the world around them. Investigating, questioning and observing the world in which we live.
The children are encouraged to think of themselves as scientists as they carry out practical investigations and become scientific thinkers. Where possible, we make our Science lessons practical and use the outdoors where appropriate.
We enhance our Science teaching by including trips, visitors and additional Science days, we have made strong links with Bancroft's School and Year 6 pupils visit their annual Science fair. Students from Bancrofts also visit us to share their knowledge with our pupils and further excite and motivate the children to make their own scientific discoveries and create an increased passion for Science.
By the end of Key Stage One and Two, we aim to have created young scientists who have not only received a high-quality Science education, but who are also eager to continue on their scientific journey.
