RE

At Wells Primary, Religious Education is taught to promote the spiritual, moral, social, cultural and intellectual development of pupils by encouraging them to explore and respond to those aspects of religion and human experience that raise fundamental questions about belief and values.

Our RE curriculum encourages children to broaden their knowledge of different faiths, to respect and value diversity, and to celebrate and be proud of their own values and beliefs.

At Wells, we plan for consistency, continuity and progression by using the Redbridge Agreed Syllabus 2008. This is organised in a two-year rolling programme to accommodate the mixed age classes. This ensures that children can work at their own level within the requirements of the National Curriculum.

Should you require further information regarding RE please see our FAQ section or alternatively a full copy of our RE policy is available from the school office.
