Class Organisation
How our classes are organised
Wells Primary is a 1.5 form entry school. This means that we have 45 children in each year group. In order to achieve class sizes of no more than 30 pupils, the children are organised into classes according to their age with the result that most classes are single year groups. There are three classes which have mixed year groups. In Key Stage 1, there is one mixed class of Year 1 and 2 children, Class 2. In Key Stage 2, there are two mixed classes - one with Year 3 and 4 children, Class 5, and one with Year 5 and 6 children, Class 8.
